The Brief & Prototypes

Every collaboration begins with a Project Brief. This is a foundational document, completed independently by you, that formally outlines your business objectives, target audience, and functional requirements. It serves as the primary reference point for the entire project. While you are expected to fill this out on your own, our team is readily available to provide assistance if you encounter difficulties with specific technical questions.

Based on the brief, we create Prototypes of the application's page templates. We refine and adjust these prototypes until you are 100% happy with how the structure is laid out. For standard projects, these approved templates are usually sufficient to start development. However, for complex applications, in addition to prototyping the page templates, we must also develop a comprehensive Scope of Work (SOW). Only when the full scope of work is crystal clear do we provide the final, fixed price and sign the contract. Then, our designers begin crafting the beautiful User Interface (UI).

Payment Structure: Simple vs. Complex

For standard solutions (like landing pages, simple corporate sites, or basic online storefronts), payment terms are straightforward: 50% upfront to begin, and the remaining 50% upon completion when the site is filled with "test content."

For complex solutions (such as mid-to-large e-commerce platforms, extensive catalogs, or custom portals), payments are split into three milestones due to the larger scale (30% / 30% / 40%). The initial 30% is due after the Scope of Work (SOW) is approved, the next 30% after the design is implemented, and the final 40% after the site is populated with test content.

Your Intellectual Property is Yours. Upon final payment, full and unencumbered ownership of the source code, all custom design assets, and the domain name is transferred directly to you. We don't believe in holding your IP hostage or trapping you in proprietary ecosystems. We want you to stay with us for the long term because you love the quality of our work, not because you are legally locked in.

Important Things to Know

Domains & Hosting: Before your website can go live, you will need a Domain Name (your website's address on the internet) and Hosting (the server space where your website's files are stored). Both are leased services: domains are typically renewed annually, while hosting can be paid monthly, quarterly, or yearly. If you don't already have them, don't worry—as long as we have a signed contract, we provide free consulting to help you choose and purchase the right domain and hosting plan, ensuring everything is registered securely in your name.

What is "Test Content"? When we reach the final stage of development, we use "test content" to finalize the build. This isn't meaningless placeholder text; it is usually a small sample of your actual, real-world content used to prove the site functions perfectly.

Often, clients face unexpected delays in gathering all their final photos and texts. By launching the site with a test volume of content, we avoid indefinitely stalling the project. We finalize the technical build and settle the final invoice, and then give you up to 4 months of flexibility to gather your remaining materials without pressure. Once you are ready, we will upload the rest of your content for you.

What can we achieve in 1 hour of content updates?

The volume of work depends entirely on the state of the media you provide:

High Volume (Ready Assets): If you provide pre-processed photos and either finalized text or raw bullet points (which we expand using AI), 1 hour is more than enough to beautifully format and publish multiple articles, a fresh gallery, or new product pages.
Medium Volume (Light Processing): If photos need basic cropping and web optimization, or if raw video clips need to be compressed and converted for seamless web playback, we can comfortably process and upload a moderate amount of media within the hour.
Low Volume (Heavy Editing): If your images require complex Photoshop retouching (e.g., background removal, advanced color correction), 1 hour might only yield a few highly-polished photos added to your site.

Important Note on Hosting: When you sign a maintenance contract with us, it automatically includes Premium Hosting. This means you do not need to buy hosting elsewhere. We act as your dedicated intermediary between you and the enterprise server providers. We manage the complex infrastructure on your behalf and take 100% responsibility for your website's uptime, speeds, and health, so you never have to deal with hosting technical support.

TOV Grant (€2,500)

The Trading Online Voucher (TOV) is a government grant provided by the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) to help small Irish businesses grow online. It covers 50% of your digital development costs, up to a strict maximum of €2,500.

Core Eligibility Criteria

Team Size: 10 or fewer employees (sole traders and 1-person businesses are fully eligible).
Trading History: Trading for at least 6 months prior to application.
Turnover: Annual turnover of less than €2 million.
Location: Registered within the jurisdiction of your local LEO.

What Can The Voucher Be Used For?

The grant must be used to upgrade your digital capabilities and generate revenue (not for basic "brochure" sites). Eligible costs include:

E-commerce website development or upgrades.
Online booking, reservation, or subscription systems.
Secure online payment gateways.
SEO strategies and digital marketing campaigns.

Agency Requirements

To be approved, your chosen vendor must be a registered business, provide a Tax Clearance Certificate, and supply granular itemized quotations. We are fully compliant with all LEO requirements.

How The Math Works

The grant covers 50% of eligible costs up to €2,500. You pay the agency in full during development, and the LEO reimburses you their share upon completion.

€1,000 Project: The grant covers €500. Your net cost is €500.
€3,000 Project: The grant covers €1,500. Your net cost is €1,500.
€6,000 Project: The 50% match is €3,000, but capped at the maximum. You receive €2,500 back. Your net cost is €3,500.

How We Guide You

We take the friction out of the application process. We provide the mandatory highly detailed, itemized technical quotations required by the LEO. Upon project completion, we ensure you receive all proper invoices and proof-of-work documents formatted correctly so you can seamlessly claim your €2,500 refund.

Grant Risk Protection Final approval is strictly at the government's discretion. However, if we officially agree to proceed with your project under the expectation of the grant, and it gets rejected for reasons beyond your control, we will refund the entire amount that was planned to be compensated through the grant. We share the risk with you.

For large projects and platforms, we draft a comprehensive Technical Specification, also known as a Statement of Work (SOW). After gathering all the initial data, our team gets to work on creating your Prototype or SOW. Once it is ready, we present the result to you for review. If everything looks perfect, you approve it, and this document becomes the strict foundation for the next stage—the visual design. If you feel something isn't quite right, you simply provide your feedback. We will make the necessary revisions and refine the document until you are completely satisfied and officially approve the final blueprint. This approved result guarantees accurate costs and fixed development deadlines.
